All volunteers will begin with an induction outlining the details of the job and how to do it. There will be monthly meetings between you and the volunteer coordinator and regular communication via e-mail. If you need any support, there are a number of people to talk to.

Job Title: Ustreamer
Description: We are looking for volunteers to help stream our services online to the wider community of the internet. In this area we are aiming to create a professional standard of live streaming with multiple cameras and high quality sound recording equipment. They will work as part of a team of several people responsible for all media related aspects of the service. Initial training will be provided by Reamonn, the event manager. Each volunteer need only film for one service although they may wish to take on more.Main Function: To stream the Sunday Services online
Duties:
- Set up and operate main camera
- Control sound levels during the service
- Ensure a sound internet connection
- Record the services onto the Ustream account
- Take down camera/equipment after the last service
Development opportunities:
- Learn more about the extra functions in Ustream and utilise them
- Stream more than one camera feed into Ustream
Hours: Our services occur twice weekly on Sunday morning and evening. Once a month there is also a CARP service in the afternoon. Volunteers would need to arrive an hour before the event to set up the equipment and then stay afterwards to take it down.
Morning service
arrive by 10:00am
take down afterwards is not necessary.
Evening Service
arrive by 6:00pm for equipment check.
Monthly CARP service
arrive by 1:30pm for equipment check.
Caretaker
Job Title: Caretaker
Description: Around Lancaster Gate we regularly clean the bathrooms and vacuum the hallways/rooms as well as maintain other parts of the building. We are looking for a volunteer cleaner to assists with the maintenance of this great building, working in conjunction with other caretakers.Main Function: Assist with the cleaning around 43 Lancaster Gate

Job Title: Book Keeper
Description: There is a growing collection of books at LG up for sale with an ever increasing amount of religious/church related literature available around the world. Being able to supply the latest and greatest books or the timeless classics to our membership and the public is an important role for the HQ church. We are looking for an organised, responsible volunteer with an interest in literature to manage and expand this department. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about money management, book maintenance and to develop business skills. Applicants from any background are welcome.Main Function: To manage the buying and selling of books in Lancaster Gate
Duties:
- Keep records of book stocks and sales
- Take e-mails and calls for book requests
- Deliver book orders
- Refill book supplies
- Arrange book presentation in LG

A minimum of 30 minutes per week, requests for deliveries should be dealt with within a week.

An induction to the job will be provided with a step by step outline of how to do the deliveries and order in new books.Sunday School Asst.
Job Title: Sunday School Assistant
Description: The Sunday school is a very important aspect of the Sunday services. It allows families with younger children to attend while their children take part in a high quality and fun educational program.The age range would be from 8-12 and a session would run for approximately 45 minutes. We would like a cheerful, friendly but firm volunteer to assist the main Sunday school teacher. The room will need to be set up before and materials prepared, during the event the assistant would help to engage the attention of the children and keep them focused on the activities. Afterwards snacks and drinks should be provided.
Archiver
Job Title: Archiver
Description: There is a huge volume of footage from the history of the movement in the UK in video, photographic, audio and document form. Some of this is very valuable and holds great meaning for many members during that time. For the sake of posterity and keeping an accurate record of our great history we are looking for volunteers to organise and store this information digitally, we would also like them to put aside any 'gems' for everyone to see.Duties:
- Organise existing material into chronological order or categories as necessary
- Digitalise material using scanners/computer software
- Process photographic negatives to proper photos
- Single out significant photos/videos/audio files

- Make the archives available/viewable online.
- Make a timeline of significant dates/event in the British Movements history.
Receptionist
Job Title: Receptionist
Description: The new reception area at Lancaster Gate will be a conduit for visitors to be welcomed and find out about all the events and facilities available. Some of the rooms are available for rent and room bookings should be arranged by the receptionist. We plan to increase the number of activities happening during the week. We are looking for people with good phone etiquette, organisational skills and a calm friendly manner.Duties:
- Welcome guests to Lancaster Gate
- Arrange room bookings
- Provide information about events
- Take messages for staff
- Serve drinks and snacks in the reception area
- Deal with queries
- Take on other administration jobs from David Franklin as required

Sound Engineer
Job Title: Sound Engineer
Description: The Sunday Service's depend on having a professional sound system to back it up. We are looking for volunteers with an interest in sound engineering to learn how the system works and then to take responsibility for setting it up on Sundays. Reamonn, the current sound engineer will work closely with new volunteers to make sure they are confident with the equipment.Main Function: To prepare the sound equipment for Sunday service
Duties:
- Move musical equipment into the ballroom
- position the microphones and wire up the speakers
- Sound check the band
- Balance the sound using mixing board
- Adjust sound levels during the service
- Put away musical equipment at the end of the day

Prayer coord.
Job Title: Prayer for healing coordinator
Description: Over the last 18 months we have held a prayer evening in Lancaster Gate to pray for healing. It has been an important event in the weekly schedule where people gather to pray together for the wellbeing of members who find them selves going through hard times.Main Function: We are looking for a volunteer who is passionate about prayer and feels they would like to support the people in our community who need it most. Their responsibilities would include coordinating with our General Affairs office and calling people on the prayer list to find out how the situation may have changed and what they should pray for or whether that person would like to stay on the list. They would also help to pass on the list to others who are meeting for prayer.
Event Mngr.
Job Title: Event Manager (Wednesday DP study sessions)
Description: William Haines, a member with a large amount of knowledge and insight into the bible, divine principle and various other topics has been running enlightening study sessions on Monday nights for some time (now moved to Wednesday). These sessions are a great way for people to connect with the Abrahamic faiths and to discover a unique perspective on the individuals within God's providence.We are looking for a volunteer to help organise and run these sessions. They would organise all the logistics, MC during and generally assist with the smooth running of the session.
Main Function: To assist William Haines with the preparation and running of the event.
Duties:
- To set up the room with tables, chairs, projector, teas/coffee and snacks
- MC for the event
- Return everything back to its original place after the event

Crèche Babysitter
Job Title: Crèche Babysitter
Description: Every Sunday during the service, we will be providing a crèche facility for parents of children aged 1-5, looking after the youngest members of our community. This is important for allowing families with small children to attend the service safe in the knowledge that their children are being cared for nearby. It will be in the lounge area where a live feed to the service will be shown on the screen. We are looking for a patient volunteer who has some experience in caring for young children.Main Function: To supervise and care for the children of parents attending the Sunday Service
Duties:
- Prepare crèche area before service
- Clean the toys to be used
- Take a sign in/sign out register
- Contact parents if a child is proving difficult
- Clear crèche area after finish
Development opportunities:
- Find games/ activities to do with the children
- buy new toys for the crèche (using prearranged budget)
- Prepare some light educational material (flash cards, books etc.)

Barrister
Job Title: Barrister
Description: The recently founded coffee shop at HQ church is in need of volunteers to handle sales and prepare drinks. We would like an organised, well groomed and engaging individual who appreciates a good cup of coffee and speaks good English. It's a great chance to serve and engage with members and guests who come to meetings at our headquarters church, you will be picking up new skills and helping spread a little joy.Main Function: To run the HQ coffee shop.
Duties:
- Prepare the room, set up coffee machine & water boiler
- Set out & display cakes & food
- Serve food as well as a variety of beverages mainly great coffee & tea & homemade cakes etc.
Development opportunities:
Some of the profits will go back into improving the coffee shop, as a valued member of the team your input will help decide where to make the changes.
